It’s tough to find a good bakery these days, so when Truman, the wife and I stumbled upon Spring Mill Bread Company at Barracks Row a couple of weekends ago, we felt like we found gold. Yes, it’s a regional chain (a handful of stores are spread around Maryland), but who cares? We certainly didn’t, as I chowed down on a bacon, egg and cheddar breakfast sandwich on honey oat (pictured above). The wife had an apple streusel that was moist and had a perfect hint of sweetness.
It was hot as hell on the patio and our iced coffees were quickly getting lukewarm, but life was good. Spring Mill has our full endorsement and gets the Three Amigos:
